I’m an endodontist, which is a root canal specialist. Sage has recently acquired a CBCT machine, a three-dimensional x-ray image that allows me to see more of the tooth. Whenever I’m questioning, let’s say, infection size, bone loss, or maybe even fractures inside of the tooth, I now have a three-dimensional picture that gives me a better idea of what’s going on with that patient. The CBCT image allows me to create a better treatment plan for the patient because I have more information.

The implant academy in Brazil was a hands-on course with a one-on-one, instructor-to-student ratio. I had already placed quite a few implants before attending this course. Still, it helped open my mind to seeing implants from a different perspective—more in terms of implant placement and, more specifically, implant placement in different directions. It also opened my mind to realize there are no limitations to what I can do with implants.
